Angeles Ubaldo Higuera holds a master’s degree in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a bachelor's degree in Mathematics applied to Economics from the Autonomous Metropolitan University. Her studies are focused on econometrics, mathematical and energy modeling. She is currently Deputy Director of Energy Consumption in the General Directorate of Energy Planning and Information in the Secretary of Energy (SENER). With more than 7 years of experience in the energy sector, first as a researcher at the Mexican Petroleum Institute, developing the demand model for the motor transport sector and later in SENER, elaborating the Electric Sector Outlook and the Renewable Energies Outlook; She has participated in the development of various models for the Mexican Energy Sector, such as: SIMPL-E, BALMOREL, PLEXOS, SIMISE, ThreeMe and TIMES MX.
