Jairo Cugliari

Université Lumiere Lyon 2

Jairo Cugliari is Maître de Conférences (Assistant Professor) at ERIC Labs from University Lumière Lyon 2. He obtained his master degree on Mathematics and Computer Science at Université de la Méditerranée in Marseille. Then he did he obtained his doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics at the Laboratoire de Mathématiques d’Orsay, Université Paris Sud.
His current research deals with functional data analysis clustering and forecasting techniques especially in the context of non-stationary data. More generally, he works on data science for industry problems coupling mathematical modelling with computational intensive solutions.
Recent projects were the implementation of an R package for electricity forecast in Uruguay (github/cugliari/enercast) and clustering individual consumer’s curves for prediction in France.
