Arnaud Chevallier

Arnaud Chevallier is the associate vice provost for academic affairs and strategic partnerships at Rice University, where he is also a lecturer in the school of engineering. Prior to his Rice appointment, Chevallier was the graduate dean at the University of Monterrey, where he also oversaw the center for educational technology.
A mechanical engineer by training, Chevallier also worked as a management consultant, in Accenture’s strategy and business architecture practice out of Houston and London.
Chevallier’s research interest is in the resolution of complex, ill-defined problems, where he provides concrete, actionable tools for practitioners irrespective of their discipline. His latest book, Strategic thinking in complex problem solving, is published by Oxford University Press. He holds a MS and PhD from Rice University and a ME and BS from the Université de Versailles, all in mechanical engineering.
